- Customers can exchange ineligible foreign cash to eligible cash. The amount received is the amount accepted for exchange by the foreign bank.
- Foreign currency (cotton or polymer): USD, EUR, GBP, AUD, CAD, CHF, JPY, SGD, NZD, HKD, THB
- Customers can exchange torn and damaged VND bills issued by the State Bank of Vietnam
- Bills are exchanged at equal values without any additional charge
- Bills are dirty, stained, damaged not by destructive behaviors.
- Bills must neither be cracked nor easily broken, decayed.
- Both serial numbers, images, patterns and security identification features must be clear.
- In case part of bills is missing: The remaining area must be larger than 50% of original size of the same type of bill.
- Bills are torn and damaged due to circulation
- Bills gets technical errors in printing and casting process such as folded printing paper causing loss of image or color, ink dirt and other errors in printing and casting process.
- Bills are torn and damaged during the preservation
- In case bills are burnt, perforated or torn off, the remaining area must be equal to or larger than 60% of original size of the same type of bill; If bills are pasted from two pieces of bills of the same type, the area must be larger than 90% of original size of the same type.
- For polymers burned or deformed due to exposure to high heat sources, the remaining area must be at least equal to 30% of original size of the same type while their layout must be kept unchanged, and at the same time at least two of the security identification features such as: security band, embedded pattern in small window, etc. must be easy to identify.
